Purpose

This Private Membership Association (“Association”) is established to provide a forum for its members to associate, communicate, conduct lawful activities, and pursue shared interests consistent with the Association’s stated purpose.

Membership

Membership is voluntary and subject to the Association’s membership requirements, bylaws, and policies. Members are expected to act respectfully, honestly, and in a manner consistent with the purposes and standards of the Association.

Member Responsibilities

Members are responsible for their own conduct and for complying with applicable federal, state, and local laws. Membership in the Association does not exempt any member from laws or regulations that otherwise apply to that member or the member’s activities.

Members shall not use the Association to engage in fraud, harassment, threats, unlawful discrimination, or any other unlawful conduct.

Association Council

The Association will operate according to its bylaws, membership agreement, and other guiding documents. The Association’s leadership council may establish reasonable rules and procedures necessary to administer Association activities and protect the interests of its members.

The Association is organized for community and collective private association and membership purposes. Nothing in this policy statement is intended to claim immunity from generally applicable laws, regulations, taxes, licensing requirements, or lawful governmental authority. 

Effective Date

This policy statement becomes effective upon adoption by the Association and remains in effect until amended or replaced by the Association’s governing authority.
